Notes / Commentary: LeBlanc examined Nos. 25 and 87, which were the only titles included in his listing; he was unable to find a list of stories. No. 39 was added from a copy digitized by Google Books. No. 41 was added from a copy digitized by the Internet Archive. No. 75 was added from a bookseller's listing (which included a photo of the title page, confirming the date and "Extra" status). Nos. 7, 9, 11, 17, 20, 24, 26-27, 29, 38, 53, 66-68, 73-74, 76-78, 85 and 91 were added from WorldCat listings. Nos. 1-2, 8, 18-19, 22-23, 30-31, 33, 42, 54-55 and 79 were added from The American Catalogue, 1884-1890. No. 35 was added from The Annual American Catalogue, 1886-1890. Several untitled entries (Adventures of a Bashful Irishman, At War With Herself, A Crimson Stain, A Double Love, Lost and Found, Married in Haste, A Midnight Marriage, Old Si's Humorous Sketches, Perdita, Woman Against Woman and A Woman's Vengeance) were added from an advertisement in The American Bookseller, v. XXIV, no. 6, page 216; authorship for some titles was confirmed from an advertisement in Book News, September 1890, page xiii.
