Notes / Commentary:

One unnumbered issue has been examined with a Crawford cover and a Royal Publishing Co. imprint on the title page. Royal and later Ottenheimer both had series with this name, though the numbering is somewhat different.

The original LeBlanc listing only included numbers 4, 11 and 75. Nos. 5-6, 19, 23, 36, 47 and 98 (plus unnumbered entries for Duty Unto Death and Witty Pieces by Witty People) were added from WorldCat listings.

LeBlanc estimated 100 titles in this series, but a "retiring from the publishing business" notice in The Bookseller and Newsman, December 1896, page 39, indicates that the series contained "eighty different titles." A record for no. 98 in WorldCat suggests that LeBlanc's estimate is accurate.
