Publisher's Blurb: In the period of readjustment through which the country is passing, the great object has been and is to get retail prices down. We have done it right here in the following list of big super value books. Every one of the following is a regular, full length, copyrighted mystery and adventure story of the best kind written by present-day authors of standing and reputation. These books formerly sold for $1.00 or $1.50 per copy, bound in cloth. We offer them in substantial paper binding--same authors--same titles--same big readable type--same printing--but cheaper paper and binding, all large books 300 to 400 pages each, and an inch thick.
Notes / Commentary: Have never seen one. They are reprints of Howell's Adventure Stories and Howell's Mystery Stories (like Ogilvie's Adventure Stories). Given that all known titles correspond with Howell's Mystery Stories in numbering, it seems possible that the entire list is the same -- however, some titles missing from this listing would have to be tracked down to confirm the theory.
