Dates: Johannsen's House of Beadle and Adams says this series was published in 1867; an American Antiquarian Society catalog entry showing no. 2 as being published in 1868 corroborates this. Cox's Dime Novel Companion and Joseph Rainone have listed this series as being published circa 1876. The original LeBlanc listing dates it at 1887. Since the LeBlanc list notes the publisher as "George Munro's Sons" rather than "George Munro," this may suggest that LeBlanc was working from a later reprint.
