Irwin's Ten Cent Stories
Irwin P. Beadle & Co. (1862-1864)
(New York (N.Y.): 137 William St.)
Format : Small Booklet
|Notes / Commentary:||"I have seen no copy of this booklet, which seems to have been the only one of the series issued. It was advertised as "Now ready" in the back of Irwin P. Beadle's Ten Cent Novels, No. 2, which appeared November 18, 1863, consequently must have appeared late in 1863. Apparently the books of this series were intended to contain shorter stories than those in the Ten Cent Novels, but no advertisement of any other number has been found. The two tales have not been identified by me as reprinted elsewhere, but the titles may have been changed. Possibly an examination of the stories themselves, if ever a copy turns up, will permit identification of the author."--Johannsen, A. House of Beadle and Adams|
