Notes / Commentary:

Adventure Weekly succeeded Red, White and Blue Library, the last number of which (59) was dated Dec. 18, 1897. The first issue of Adventure Weekly was dated Dec. 25, 1897.

No. 19 was the last issue published. An announcement by the publishers stated that now that the rebellion had been put down, the Emperor had commissioned Phil to reorganize his navy and that No. 20 would be titled "Admiral Phil Afloat; or, In Hot Pursuit of the Pirates of Formosa." But the story was never issued in the Adventure Weekly. The three scheduled stories were issued as No. 640 New Medal Library and subsequently reprinted as No. 54 New Romance Library and No. 81 Adventure Library.

It is suspected that 3 other Adventure Weeklies were reprinted in the New Medal Library No. 628 but the suspicion has not been verified.
