Notes / Commentary:

LeBlanc's listing included an introduction by Capt. C. G. Mayo which revealed the Bright Days Publishing Company as an alias of Edward Stratemeyer, who also wrote most of the stories under a variety of pseudonyms. Mayo suggested that the paper was not a financial success, as evidenced by declining illustration quality and an increasing emphasis on premium offers as time went on.

LeBlanc's listing only included serials; the issues also included some stand-alone stories that were omitted. Some issues have been more fully indexed here when copies could be located.

The listing provides conflicting information about volume numbering; the listing itself suggests all issues were part of volume 1, but this was incorrect; Mayo's introduction correctly notes that volume 2 began when the frequency changed to monthly.

All indications are that the publication ceased after No. 31; this was the last issue seen by Mayo and is also the highest number held by the Library of Congress collection in Washington, D. C.
