The same advertisement indicates that the stories in this series are English translations of German works from this Collection Schick, which was published in parallel. No. 5 was also found digitized in the Internet Archive; it contains a list of the first ten issues of Collection Schick. A catalog record at Yale University indicates that the series "[c]eased publication with no. 23, 1888."
