First Sentence:	It was at a celebrated garden in Paris, often visited by military officers and men of rank, a nobleman appeared soon after the restoration, and made himself famous in a very short time.
Last Sentence:	It is needless to add that young Devigny became the idol of the Bonapartist faction, and the terror of the old nobility, who ever after gave him a wide berth or treated him with the respect due to his courage and skill.
