First Sentence: We had two of them, Carlo and Jumper: Carlo, a huge, shaggy, New Foundland dog, almost three feet in height, and Juniper: his very opposite, being a Scotch terrier of small dimensions, with a smooth glossy coat, silken ears, and an expressive face that almost seemed to understand what you were talking about.
Last Sentence: But, most of you have pets of your own, which you, no doubt, think quite superior to either of "Our Dogs," so I will not relate any more of their peculiarities, but bid you all adieu.
