First Sentence: After going for forty years, be the same more or less, without using tobacco, and having grown up to years of manhood, and one would suppose, to years also of discretion, some malicious fiend put it into my head to smoke a cigar.
Last Sentence: If this is the legitimate result of smoking, and if only smoking will reduce my fat, then I shall grow to be as big as an elephant multiplied by the biggest one of all the pyramids, for never another cigar goes into the mouth of Yours Disgustedly, Q. K. Philander Doesticks, P. B.
