Here lies a note of invitation from M. and Madame Rhabarbarine, with compliments and company, and- what else intimated, we will not say- for next Thursday evening. |

That is a consummation devoutly to be wished, when we can see the leaders in society attaching to the marriage notice, and the cards of invitation- "no presents received;" and when we shall go to neighbors' and friends' houses, knowing that we are welcome, not for what we have in our hands, but what we are in ourselves. |
