Part of: |
New York Weekly, v. XXVI, no. 5, December 15, 1870 (Issue) |
Author: |
Glendower
|
Date: |
December 15, 1870 |
First Sentence: |
The rapidity with which one may change his residence from New York to San Francisco, the railroad facilities which enable him to leap from ocean to ocean in seven days, must be my excuse for giving to a hurried recital of the incidents of the journey the title of "A Week's Jump." |
Last Sentence: |
At the start the most of us were strangers to each other; but at the close of this seven days' picnic all seemed familiar as old friends, and it is the opinion of the writer that this letter is unnecessary to remind our party of the incidents which transpired during a week's jump. |
