A favorite dog, belonging to Squire Warren, had fallen into disgrace, form an incorrigible habit of annoying the flocks of the neighboring farmers. |

He was sorry he had ever neglected so invaluable a friend; and, as the only peace-offering in his power, departed with his faithful companion from the house of blood to his mansion, where the dog remained, petted and caressed by Mr. Warren and his grateful family. |
