Randolph Cox's New Magnet Library bibliography, this was first serialized in six parts as "A Battle for Right" in Detective Story Magazine from October 20, 1916 to January 5, 1917, based on an unidentified Union Jack story. The serial version featured detective Thorndyke Flint and was attributed to Douglas Grey. The New Magnet Library version is rewritten to feature Nick Carter. |
