First Sentence: Almost every one turns with emotions of pleasure, or at least of tenderness, to the home of their childhood, and the great evangelist in his extensive travels has found no place so dear to his heart as this lovely old town of Northfield, Mass., his birthplace and early home.
Last Sentence: Soon the vast throng had dispersed and disappeared in the long line of vehicles, going to the north, south, east, and west; and the still summer night settled down over the now deserted old Northfield "street."
