First Sentence: If this should prove to be the shortest of all possible Doesticks' articles, sufficient excuse must be found in the fact that I have been to-day to see a base ball match between two of the champion clubs of the country.
Last Sentence: I love the old game-no man loves it more, though most men play it better, but I do grieve to see it turned into a vehicle for the most bare-faced gambling, that ever our modern bare-faced gamblers could desire.
