First Sentence: |
A dainty little room, all white and cool, with the muslin draperies looped back with blue ribbon knots, and vases of white roses o the table-a room whose windows looked out on fields of silver-green wheat, swaying like emerald billows in the lazy June breeze, and velvet meadows sloping down to a quiet river, overhung with green-tressed willows and bending alders-it looked almost as sweet and pure as Ellice Neville herself. |
