'Twas near the bended the arch of a cerulean sky, and 'mid a wild wilderness of luxuriant beauty, in the scorching, breathless month of August; but a refreshing breath was fanning the bosom of the mountain stream, that wound and dashed along its rocky bed, or lay sleeping, calmly drinking in the soft hue of the depths above, until it glowed like a sheet of spphire [sic]. |
