Recently there came into our possession some old papers belonging to a young lady in New Hampshire, who died over fifty years ago; and among them was the manuscript of the appended verses, which we have transcribed-orthography unchanged-as a relic of "ye olden time." The manuscript bears the date of April 16th 1815-and the author dwelt in an obscure town far up among the mountains of the Granite State. |
