Whenever Aunt Hannah paid us one of her semi-annual visits, she had a characteristic story to tell of what had been going on at the old homestead farm, where she spent most of her time; and, though I was nothing but a mere child just then, I remember one of her stories, concerning the queer little chap with the click in his throat, almost as well as if I had heard it yesterday. |
