I don't think that I'd like to have my children made over again, but it doesn't seem to me that some of the mischief, and imitativeness, and what my friend Josh Billings calls the natural "cussedness" of the animal, might be left out with advantage to the parents, and it would certainly save a great deal of trouble to those who are appointed to look after the children. |
