In a daintily furnished apartment, from which the light is too carefully excluded, where a lovely little lady looks delicately and exquisitely pretty in white linen and lace, and where a tiny miracle of a baby lies wrapped in a heap of drapery, combining snowy softness and summer warmth, a tall autocrat of a nurse moves about; and a fine, faded, fashionable mamma holds disputed possession of mother and baby with the tall nurse. |
