First Sentence:	Three years ago, last July, I was induced to visit the three or four "Homes" for the reformation of those unfortunate-Heaven alone knows how unfortunate!-who make up in society the element now generally known as the "Social Evil," and I remember the superintendent of one of them saying to me:
