SILVER, father of TOM; PEDDLER; POLICEMAN. SCENE.--The sitting-room of MRS. RIDDLE'S house. Curtains rises, discovering MRS. RIDDLE seated, attired in her morning dress, apparently much fatigued by callers.
First Sentence: JANE (Enters by the only door and takes a seat on the opposite side of the stage.) So you are all alone, Sue.
