ENGL 330 Spring 2018's Thoughts: "Master Wilthon, also known as “The Silent Slayer," is a proud Englishman who has had a lifelong struggle with Native Americans and The French. One day in the woods, he finds a French soldier's body disgraced, as it was shoved into a tree instead of receiving a proper burial. Upon finding a locket that showed the man’s beautiful sister, Master Wilthon, becomes overwhelmed with a desire to meet this woman and tell her the unfortunate truth about her brother. Wilthon, disguising himself as French, rides to Montreal with his enemies, doing things along the way to help the people who are meant to be his bitter enemies. Upon arriving in Montreal, it is love at first sight between Wilthon and the woman, Marie, who he must break the tragic news to. However, the real killer, Dujardin, who is also madly in love with Marie, will do anything in his power to expose Wilthon as the true enemy to the French. In this action packed thriller, Master Wilthon battles the fear of being found out, how to expose Dujardin as the real killer, and how to be with the woman of his dreams."--Ryan Cahalan, undergraduate student at NIU enrolled in ENGL 330, Spring 2018
