A copy of No. 37 examined via photograph appears to have black text on an off-white or tan background, though this may be a trick of bad lighting or related to fading over time.
Notes / Commentary:

Extra numbers were issued so that more than two a month were sometimes issued. For example, Nos. 37 and 38 have the same cover date (based on an eBay photograph of No. 37 and LeBlanc's examination of No. 38)

LeBlanc's original listing credited this series to Houghton, Mifflin & Co. This was then crossed out and replaced with Ticknor & Co. A copy of No. 37 examined in an eBay listing pointed out by Cary Sternick lists Houghton, Mifflin & Co, Boston and New York, as publisher on the cover and featured an ad for the Houghton, Mifflin edition of Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm on the back cover; the title page was not photographed, so it is uncertain whether Ticknor was listed inside.

LeBlanc listed the series publication frequency as semi-monthly, but a copy of No. 5 found in a bookseller listing identified a weekly frequency, so it seems that the frequency changed during publication. A photograph of No. 24 indicates that the semi-monthly frequency was in place by that point in the series.
