Some advertised titles were changed upon publication. Publisher's announcement of the discontinuance of Starry Flag: "This is the last number of this publication that will be issued. The war is over, our heroes have returned to their various homes, and the interest in war stories does not warrant a continuance of this series. The subscribers to Starry Flag will, in its place, receive True Blue, the companion publication which dealt with the naval side of the war. We also commend True Blue to all purchasers of the Starry Flag. Clif Faraday, the hero, is a young naval cadet, who was favored with an opportunity to distinguish himself in the various engagements in Cuban waters. The war being over, he has resumed his studies. With the experience gained in the war, added to his naturally bright disposition, he is making things hum at Annapolis, and we are certain you will admire Clif and enjoy reading of his adventures as fully as you did of Hal Maynard. True Blue is issued weekly, is for sale by all newsdealers, costs five cents a copy, and will be issued in the form of a neat book for the pocket, beginning with Vol. 37, which is published Saturday, January 21.
